Gubaidulina Festival in Portugal A Gubaidulina Festival will take place from 5 to 12 February 2011 at the Belém Cultural Centre in Lisbon.
This will be the first in a series of festivals dedicated to Sofia Gubaidulina during the year of her 80th birthday. Alongside a number of Portuguese premieres, the world premiere of her Bayan Concerto in an extensively revised version will be given. The composer will honour the entire festival with her presence.
